Saturday/Sunday April 28/29

Well, this week the police have been hitting the corner here hard. They have been at the intersection of 35th and Montgomery everyday for 6 days. It is all good, except of course last Sunday when Bill was trying to show the place next door to prospective tenants...
Yesterday and today the ho's have been out there on Jefferson Street. Last night, I saw 2 girls walking in Jefferson Street. One was tall and skinny wearing about a 10 inch long skirt and about 6 inch tall heels. The other was... let's just say she was healthier.. OK big boned. Her skirt too, was about 10 inches long... But....it didn't cover her ...assets. They were hanging out in the breeze.

OK so here's the update about the cleaning job. Bitch sent me $30 in cash in an envelope. Had a return address of a strip mall in Pooler. Yeah, like she couldn't send me a check because it would have had her address on it! So, I fixed that bitch. I piggybacked her ad on craigslist saying she was a nasty skank that hired me under false pretenses to clean her NASTY house. Ha Ha...

On Tuesday evening, my Environmental Law class went to Sav State U.  for a forum on the Ogeechee River FishKill that happened last May (2011). Over 30,000 fish and several alligators were killed. Now other animal life is also showing signs of stress. The EPA came to look at the river/dead fish and said the GA division of the EPA- the EPD should investigate the cause. The EPD's own study revealed high levels of  ammonia and other chemicals that caused stress to the fish. Also, the pH and temperature of the water was raised. This was only evident at the location of this pipe coming from King America Chemical and past it on the river. The problems were not in evidence above the King America Chemical plant. The line of demarcation was quite clear.
The EPD made a deal with King America Chemical. The EPD made a consent order with KAC and simply fined them 1 million dollars. KAC had added a second pipe without a permit and had been dumping into the river for 6 years, but all they got was a fine. They are not being required to clean the river. That is unbelievable. The people that live and work on the river are devastated. The animal life is dying. But King America is allowed to continue business as usual.

When the class left the forum, we were all visibly upset. The only recourse we have is to write to our governor to try to draw his attention to this condition. KAC must be made to clean the river now before all plant and animal life on the Ogeechee River is gone. A special note, we have bald eagles in this area. They feed on fish. Does Governor Deal want to be the one who let the bald eagles of Georgia die?

I have written out letters and handed them out to people in Savannah. I hope to get at least a hundred people to send a letter to the governor. Signing a petition will not work. Receiving a single petition with even a thousand signatures will not have the same impact as a hundred separate letters!

Sashaying down Jefferson on Sunday AM

Mr. Badass, 3 police cars for him

Hiyah and friends have breakfast at 8 AM

Well, look at this just sashaying her goods down Jefferson Street (in the street) on Sunday morning at 8 in the morning. No, she is not wearing pants, just that big white tee.

Yesterday was pretty rough for Bill. He was trying to show the apartment next door, when several police cars showed up. Then sat there with this dude in the back of one of the cruisers for over an hour. The paddy wagon showed up, but still they didn't leave right away. Some prospective tenants from NJ wouldn't even get out of the car. Nice.
This morning, here it is, 8 AM and Hiyah and company are drinking on the porch. This is way out of control. They don't even bother to use bags. Hiyah was drinking his Old Milwaukee right out in the open.

Saturday April 21 2012

We went to see if the prom dress Rachel had picked out (for $200) was still available, but it had been sold in her size. So, what may have been a crisis, turned out to be a blessing. This dress was available in her size and everyone likes the color better on her. And, Unbelievably!  The price .... $115! YES!!!

It was getting kinda quiet out there on Thursday afternoon, so Bill and I looked out the window. 5 count them, 5 police cars! How exciting. This guy was let go, but not without a search. Is that why he is walking sideways?
Rachel's Prom Dress

5 Police cars, no waiting
I have been desperately searching for work. I recently responded to an ad for cleaning of vacation rentals. I met this woman (Sarah) at a rental near my house. She said she would give me a try. On Thursday, she text ed me the address of a house in Pooler (about 30+ minutes from me). Now this is a house- not a rental. Instructions next came via text saying to just do the first floor, and hang up the laundry on the back of the couch and fold the other clothes on the couch. WELL... You know there has to be more, of course. It's me, so you know, there is a story here.....
I get to the house yesterday, Friday morning. It was Nasty. I mean, filthy. In the dining room is a child's booster seat sitting on a wooden chair with about a half pound of rice and tomato sauce on the chair, floor and walls. DISGUSTING. The bathrooms, GROSS. Crap under the seats hasn't been cleaned in AGES. Bits of blood and God knows what on the walls in the bathrooms. OMG, I thought, what a nasty bitch lives here. The smooth top stove had cheese caked on the top and the counters had food/garbage on them. In the master, clothes were in the bed, like they had ripped them off to .... Packages of lube were on the floor and in the bed. And, on the right side bedroom table, was a frigging LUGER. After 3 hours, it was looking pretty good. Just as I was finishing up the dining room, I saw a piece of mail. UnFUCKINGBelievable! the house belongs to the BITCH that hired me. When I got home, I checked the Chatham County Board of Assessors Page and sure enough, she owns this piece of shit. If this is some scam and she doesn't pay me, she will not hear the end of this. I have a couple of pics of the inside, but I wish I had taken more. I didn't get a chance to take the after pics 'cause she showed up to "check out the work I had done." I do have snapshots of all the texts and e-mails. Stay tuned.

Cops in backyard

Hiyah drinking at 8 AM
At 8 yesterday morning, Hiyah was enjoying his libations while taking a break from his "job sweeping."

Came home and saw the alley was full of police cars. Cops were all over the yard behind us. The police dog was walking up the stairs. You can just see the head of one of the cops, too.

What a horse's ass...
I saw this story on wsav.com....

SC Man Who Had Sex With Horse Released From Prison

A man who pleaded guilty to having sex with a horse in Horry County has been released from prison after serving 16 months in prison.
The Sun News of Myrtle Beach reported Monday that 51-year-old Rodell Vereen of Longs now must serve two years of probation and register as a sex offender.
Vereen pleaded guilty in 2009 to buggery and trespassing after a Conway woman found him in her barn in the Wampee community.
The woman pointed a shotgun at him until police arrived.
Vereen was on probation at the time for a 2007 incident involving the same horse.
He's been told to stay away from the woman's stables.

I recommend not sending the mounted police to check on this parolee...

Monday, Patriots day in Mass. April 16 2012

Branch in road
It is Patriots Day in Mass and that means the running of the Boston Marathon. While in Bonaventure Cemetery, I saw this woman runner statue. I thought it fit the occasion. I think you can find something at Bonaventure to mark nearly every occasion!

This morning while walking Chip at 7 AM, 36th Street at Barnard was closed down. This massive branch broke off a live oak tree. This branch is easily as big as some trees! Hopefully, no one was hurt. Do you think when the branch fell, if no one was on the street, it didn't  make a noise? I believe it made a helluva crashing sound when it hit the street!

crappy looking fence

I swear it looks worse everyday
The fence for the property behind us on 34th Street, is falling apart. This is ridiculous. When this fence was "contracted out" to a young couple from Effingham county, I talked to them. They had never built a fence like this before. And WOW does it show. They took 6 foot tall sections of fence and then added 2 feet to the top of it. Now the gates are totally broken and scumbags are wandering in and out the backyard over there.

I swear Rachel's car looks worse every day. This tire is low again and almost totally BALD. The fender looks like it has another dent- though she says No. This is damn near a running total loss....

Happy bird

Hiyah on the porch

Don't touch ME
I was sitting in the yard this afternoon, and this bird was thoroughly enjoying his bath. He was playing for about five minutes. Louise was not outside or the bird would not have had the luxury of a bath. Louise is not fond of birds, squirrels, cats....Heck, Louise isn't fond of much, except dinner.
Went for a nice walk in Bonaventure again today. It was perfect out there. No gnats! I saw this stone- "God's fingers touched her and she slept" Tennyson. Hell, I don't want to be touched. Add this to the phone call from Jesus category. No touching, no phone calls from Jesus. I'm adding this to my list.
Well, people have been asking, What's Hiyah doing? Well, this afternoon he was grumpy as hell. He was screaming at his old lady, something about "I don't care, M-F." (he wasn't using the letters...) They were having it out right there on the street. Then he staggered across the street to the liquor store. Now he seems to be quiet and his old lady is no where to be found.

Easter Sunday 2012

Chip at the Dog Park, FUN!

Happy Easter!

What the hell is that woman wearing?

Saturday morning at the Broughton Street bus stop, I saw this woman wearing gold spandex and a yellow dress. No, girl, NO. It doesn't work.

Rachel had to work this morning at 11 AM, so (thankfully) I didn't have to fill and hide Easter eggs. I recycled an old Easter basket of hers, added $15 worth of candy- to include gourmet jelly beans, a big bag of M&M's and a bunch of chocolate.
Hoppy Easter!!!

Later in the day, I took Chip to the Dog Park at Daffin Park. He gets so excited when we get there. He whines and wags his tail so hard. Chip runs around like a nut, but always ends up dropping a load. What a pain. Anyways, I let him spend close to an hour. When he came home, he collapsed. He was exhausted. I took Louise last week, but she wasn't fond of the park. I had hoped she would stretch out those long legs of hers, but she just laid down most of time.

When Chip and I were coming home, there was a man laying on the sidewalk on Jefferson Street near 35th Street. A police officer was there and I heard an ambulance coming. Not sure if he was passed out or what. Bill said he should be reminded that it is Passover not Passed Out... Ha Ha.

trying to stay dry

Guests not allowed inside even when raining

DANG! Another little ACCIDENT

We had a quick heavy shower with thunder around 7 PM, but as you can see, guests are not allowed inside at the rooming house. Why would people go out of their way to hang there?

DANG! I just made up a little powerpoint demonstration as a JOKE last night about Rachel's car's BOO BOO's. Unfriggingbelievable! Another accident today. This time her friend scraped the quarter panel and back bumper with his MOM's car. Nice.

Saturday night, Blue lights

The YARD in Augusta

How sad, guest not allowed inside

See the pretty blue lights reflecting in the glass! This was the view while I was watching Cops, Savannah on Saturday night.. What a coincidence.
Yesterday morning, I saw this sleeping thing across the street on Hiyah's front porch. I guess his old lady won't let guests in. Must be why they all sit out on the porch, drink, and then urinate beside the porch. How disgusting.
Well Hey! The camera finally moved at Jones Old Cars in Augusta!!! Looky there!
Cars, cars everywhere but not a one to drive... I don't see that tractor that ran over Glen. It was like something out of a Stephen King novel- tractor started up all by itself and ran over my brother-in-law. I'd be calling it Christine and shooting the tires. I'll keep checking on the camera and call if I see "Christine" moving.

Sunday April 1 2012

Well, no April's Fools around here. Just a few fools across the street, sitting waiting for the packie to open at 12:30....Whoopie! Beer on Sunday now!
Funny thing, last night I was watching Cops on tv. It was an episode with Savannah police! Just then, we notice blue lights flashing in the living room and realized the Savannah police had 2 cruisers in front of out house. They had some guy pulled over and next thing, he was in the back of the cruiser.
The episode of Cops, why it was the same thing, except the idiot ran and then crawled under a house. But on threats of dogs, he thought better, crawled out and ended up in the back of the cruiser. All in a day's work.
Nothing happening here, either
Well, here is the webcam at my sister's house in Augusta. If anyone thought Savannah was boring, try Augusta.... Like watching grass grow. Maybe the wind will blow the ball....(Waiting....)  I guess not....
